We are looking for a B2B EdTech SaaS Sales Development Representative (SDR) to champion our outbound sales efforts for our new internet safety platform for schools. This is a role for someone who is truly passionate about people, technology and education. If you have prior experience in education sales, outbound sales development, recruiting, or similar and are looking to step up into a growth role, this may be the right position for you.


This position is fully remote and reports to the senior leadership team in Northern Virginia.



Your mission

As Sales Development Representative, you will be our outbound sales trailblazer. You’ll engage directly with school superintendents, administrators and technology directors to understand their pains and needs around keeping students safe. You’ll need to know how to connect with those pains and when relevant, communicate the value proposition of our SAAS: Qustodio for Schools.


In order to be successful, you’ll need to be highly disciplined, creative and resourceful in your research and targeting. You’ll need to highly personalize your messaging depending on your target prospect. You need to have no fear of picking up the telephone to cold/warm calling prospects. You’ll have to fight through gatekeepers, and you’ll need to build a playbook for your email and phone communications. You'll be a great listener to understand and empathize with prospective customers' problems, even if not related to what we sell. You’ll be ready to deal with objections and rejections in a structured way. Finally, you understand that there is an element of math and probability to the work, and that having a highly disciplined approach with repetition and iterative changes, will get you to your goal.


Your conversations will not only help build a pipeline of new customers, but also help Qustodio refine our ideal customer profiles, buyer personas and targeting strategy and provide valuable feedback on product and marketing to the organisation.


Your performance metrics will be qualified sales opportunities for the accounts team. As you validate your success, you should also be prepared to help scale the team!



Specifically you'll:

  • Profile and prospect businesses and schools in our target segments primarily in the U.S.
  • Define and execute a targeting strategy for prospective customers.
  • Define personalized prospecting strategies to lead initial outreach to prospects from a first touch to engagement.
  • Identify the needs and challenges of the prospective customer
  • Determine the prospect's interest in Qustodio Professional
  • Schedule qualified meetings or demos for sales representatives and prospects
  • Achieve goals for new business pipeline opportunities in a repeatable way
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing on ways to improve lead quality and conversion
  • As this is the first point of contact with the customers, conduct business dealings in a professional, proactive manner
  • Maintain active communication with leads to nurture them by sending monthly targeted materials

Requirements

What we look for

  • Excellent communication skills - both phone and written
  • No fear of the telephone!
  • Prior experience in Outbound Sales as an SDR, Recruiting, or a similar role where you had to conduct cold reach out to prospective customers.
  • Experience working with CRM’s such as Salesforce/Hubspot and Prospecting tools such as Outreach, Salesloft
  • Understanding of the SAAS business model
  • Team player and ability to work in a high energy sales environment
  • Passion for Internet and an early adopter of technologies
  • A curious and willing to learn, enthusiast, who wants to grow and improve with us.
